UPDATE: One person dead after fire in Washington, W. Va.
WASHINGTON, W.Va. (WTAP) -
UPDATE: Officials have released the name of the person who died in the trailer fire in Washington, West Virginia.
Misty Dawn Leasure, 45, was found in the home by investigators.
The Wood County Sheriff’s Office and the West Virginia Fire Marshal’s Office are investigating the cause of the fire.
UPDATE 11/18: One person is dead following a fire Thursday in Washington Bottom, W. Va., according to Wood County Sheriff Rick Woodyard.
Officials are not releasing the name of that person at this time.
When firefighters arrived, a room at the back of the trailer was fully engulfed in flames. Firefighters put the fire out after entering through the front door.
The Wood County Fire Investigation Team and the West Virginia State Fire Marshall’s Office are working with the Washington Bottom and Lubeck Volunteer Fire Departments on the investigation. Officials are still looking for what caused the fire to start.

Firefighters responded to a fully engulfed trailer fire on Washington Gardens Circle in Washington, West Virginia.
The call came in around 2:30 p.m, according to officials.
According to officials, the Fire Investigation team, a West Virginia Fire Marshall’s Office division, has been called to investigate the trailer fire.
According to initial reports, flames and heavy black smoke are showing from the trailer.
The Washington Bottom Volunteer Fire Department, Blennerhasset Volunteer Fire Department, Lubeck Volunteer Fire Department, Wood County Sheriff’s Office, and St. Joes Ambulance Services all responded to the scene.
