Wirt County leads state in new business growth for September

Wirt County led the state of West Virginia in new business growth percentage for September 2019 according to West Virginia Secretary of State Mac Warner.
The number of business entities in Wirt County grew from 118 to 121, which is a 2.54 percent increase.
“The continued increase in new business registrations is not only encouraging, but important to our state's economic growth,” said Warner.
Statewide, West Virginia saw an 8.62 percent growth in business registrations in the previous 12-month period. Grant, Mineral, Jefferson, and Marshall counties were also in the top 5 for business growth.
